MACLEAN
Positioned on the banks of the Clarence River lies the beautiful township of Maclean. Located approximately 15 minutes drive from the coastline of both Yamba and Brooms Head and less than 45 minutes from Grafton. Well known for it's Scottish heritage the township is surrounded by numerous villages, where property ownership is still considered to be quite affordable. Maclean is the southern gateway of the sugar industry and Harwood Island Sugar Mill, the oldest continuous working mill in Australia, which has been crushing cane since 1874. Maclean is also an area that is home to a large fleet of fishing trawlers which provide fresh seafood to the local fish co-op and seafood shops.
